Sean Casey, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will meet with arts, cultural and community groups in Newfoundland and Labrador
OTTAWA, July 30, 2018 /CNW/ - Sean Casey, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism will meet with officials from various arts and culture sectors as part of a tour through Newfoundland and Labrador.
He will meet with officials at the Corner Brook Rotary Arts Centre and the Corner Brook Museum and also tour both facilities. While in Corner Brook, he will also meet officials with the Graham Academy of the Gros Morne Summer Music Festival and with Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador.
Mr. Casey will then travel to Grand Falls-Windsor to tour the Mary March Provincial Museum and meet with its curator.
In Gambo, Mr. Casey will meet with the organizers of the Smallwood Days festival.
He will then travel to Eastport to meet with the organizers of the Winterset in Summer Festival.
He will travel to St. John's, where he will participate in the 200th anniversary festivities for the Royal St. John's Regatta.
While in St. John's, Mr. Casey will visit the set of the CBC-TV program "'Little Dog" and meet with the Newfoundland Independent Filmmakers Co-operative.
His five-day trip will end with a roundtable discussion with arts and culture stakeholders in St. John's along with a visit of The Rooms Museum.
