Media Advisory - Parliamentary Secretary Arif Virani to Meet with Arts and Culture Leaders in Southwestern Ontario Français
Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will meet with arts, cultural and community groups in Southwestern Ontario
OTTAWA, July 24, 2018 /CNW/ - Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, will tour Southwestern Ontario to discuss the priorities facing the creative sector and ethnocultural communities.
In Windsor, Mr. Virani will meet with Mayor Drew Dilkens, multiculturalism stakeholders, and the organizers of the Great Canadian Flag Project. He will then tour the Amherstburg Freedom Museum.
Mr. Virani will meet Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope, local arts, culture and heritage stakeholders and visit the Buxton National Historic Site & Museum.
He will travel to London for meetings with community groups with a focus on the arts and multiculturalism.
While in Kitchener, Mr.Virani will meet with discuss multiculturalism issues with community groups and visit the 6th annual Refugee Art Show at THEMUSEUM.
Mr. Virani will also spend some time at the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market and meet with local arts, culture and heritage groups.
He will return to Kitchener and meet with the Anishnabeg Outreach centre.
