Media Advisory - Parliamentary Secretary Arif Virani to Travel to Norway to Highlight the Importance of Arts and Culture in the Arctic Français
HARSTAD, Norway, June 20, 2017 /CNW/ - Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage (Multiculturalism), will be in Norway to participate in the first ever Arctic Arts Summit. During his trip, Mr. Virani will meet with government officials from other Arctic countries to discuss the importance of arts and culture development in the region, reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, and Canada's ongoing commitment to cultural diversity in the digital age.
Mr. Virani will attend on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage.
