Media Advisory - Pension Plan Expansion: Is Canada on the Right Track?
CALGARY, Nov. 27, 2013 /CNW/ - There is growing concern over the readiness of many Canadians to retire with sufficient income. This is has led to several recent proposals to expand the CPP/QPP by various government bodies.
Media are invited to an upcoming retirement income symposium hosted by The School of Public Policy. Leading experts from across Canada will weigh in on recent proposals for reform, and the implications of those proposals on saving rates, labour markets and the economy.
A press conference featuring Dr. Jack Mintz will be held immediately following the event, where Mintz will summarize major takeaways from the day's discussion.
