Media Advisory - Photo & Interview Opportunities - OPP to Host Celebration Event to Mark 40th Anniversary of Women in Policing with the OPP!

ORILLIA, ON, Dec. 2, 2014 /CNW/ - The media and public are invited to join OPP Commissioner Vince Hawkes for a special event at General Headquarters (GHQ) to help celebrate 40 years of women in policing with the OPP.  

The Public Street at GHQ will feature exhibits and displays that focus on past and present female officers in the OPP. OPP members from various bureaus/units will proudly join in the celebration which includes a special cake cutting ceremony with Commissioner Hawkes to honour and thank the OPP's current and veteran female members for their past and present contributions to policing.
