EDMONTON, July 6, 2016 /CNW/ - On Friday, July 8, Volleyball Canada will host a media availability with the Canadian women's sitting volleyball team headed to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
The 12 players and head coach Nicole Ban will make history in Rio as the first Canadian team to compete in sitting volleyball at a Paralympic Games. Women's sitting volleyball has been contested at the Paralympic Games since 2004. The Canadians qualified for Rio by winning a bronze medal at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games.
Media interviews will be preceded by an open training session during which media will be able to take photos and b-roll.
