Media Advisory - Photo and Interview Opportunities - News Conference: OPP's Largest Ever Drug Seizure Français
ORILLIA, ON, Aug. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to join members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) as they outline the results of a multi-jurisdictional investigation and major drug seizure.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Commissioner J.V.N. (Vince) HAWKES will be joined at the news conference by Deputy Commissioner Rick BARNUM, and representatives from Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Peel Regional Police, and the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) to provide details of an investigation into intercontinental drug trafficking.
The media conference will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 in the Auditorium at OPP General Headquarters at 777 Memorial Avenue, in Orillia, Ontario. Please use the Event Parking lot located at the south entrance to the GHQ complex (traffic lights) and you will be escorted to and from the Auditorium.
Attending members of the media are asked to be in place by 9:45 a.m. The formal program will begin at 10:00 a.m. with one-on-one media interviews available after the conference.
