Behind the Badge - The Story of the Ontario Provincial Police
ORILLIA, ON, May 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to join the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) tomorrow as they officially open the new exhibit: Behind the Badge - The Story of the Ontario Provincial Police. As part of the exhibit opening, the newly restored 1931 Henderson Four vintage motorcycle will be unveiled.
The OPP Museum plays an important role in preserving and celebrating the heritage of the OPP. Behind the Badge highlights milestones in OPP history including stories of courage, perseverance and sacrifice. The Henderson is the earliest known surviving OPP patrol vehicle and has recently undergone a careful and thorough restoration.
Commissioner J.V.N. (Vince) Hawkes will be joined by representatives from Friends of The OPP Museum and numerous contributors and donors to The OPP Museum.
