About the Supporting Women in Trades Conference
In partnership with the Government of Nova Scotia and others, CAF-FCA will host more than 350 delegates at the sold-out, two-day event being held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront on November 6 & 7th, 2018. The agenda showcases promising practices and great initiatives underway across Canada to attract, prepare, up-skill and support women in the skilled trades. According to the 2015 National Apprenticeship Survey, women make up only 13% of apprentices, and in non-traditional trades that number is well-below 5%.
