Media Advisory - Photo Opportunity - Culture & Politics intersect at Lunar New Year Event
MARKHAM-UNIONVILLE, ON, Feb. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - Political leaders will mix with traditional musicians, business executives will be dancing with community activists, and special guests will join the party as the Markham-Unionville P.C. Riding Association hosts its first-ever February Black Tie Gala this Friday.
Organized by Markham-Unionville P.C. candidate Shan Thayaparan, the gala will bring the many different cultures of the riding (the most diverse in Canada) together. Traditional food, music and dance groups will be part of the colourful entertainment.
As they celebrate the lunar New Year, attendees will also discuss how to bring about change for the better in their riding and across our province.
