New electric vehicle to recharge at bullfrogpowered® home
OTTAWA, Aug. 20 /CNW/ - On August 25, Kanata homeowners will demonstrate their commitment to the environment when the new i-MiEV electric vehicle from Mitsubishi Motors recharges at their home as part of the 2010 Clean Across Canada tour. Allan Poulsen, a member of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa and Julie Gourley, a member of the Kanata Environmental Network, are bullfrogpowered homeowners, which means that the electricity used to recharge the electric car at their home will come from 100 per cent green, renewable sources. No gas pump or greenhouse gas emissions, and no coal, oil or nuclear power—only a cool, compact car charged by an exterior wall outlet. Throughout the tour, the new electric, zero tailpipe emission i-MiEV will stop to recharge at, among other places, bullfrogpowered homes as it makes its way across the nation.
