Sears Hosts an Electronic Waste Take-Back Event at its Yorkdale Store
TORONTO, June 29 /CNW/ - Sears Canada Inc. (TSX: SCC) president and CEO Dene Rogers is extending a challenge to Ontarians to take part in the "Thousand Tonne E-Waste Challenge" with the goal of recycling 1,000 tonnes of electronic waste.
Sears is challenging customers to bring in one old TV and other outdated electronics and to tell their friends and family to drop off old electronics to have them responsibly recycled to reach the goal of recycling 1,000 tonnes of e-waste. Customers who drop off their e-waste items at their local Sears store June 30th and July 3-4 will receive special coupons for discounts on energy efficient products including SONY BRAVIA® televisions, rebates on power bars to help reduce the consumption of stand-by power, and have the chance to win the energy efficient SONY Bravia EX700 Series LCD HDTV and Blu Ray and Home Theatre.
