Premier Brian Gallant will host Canada's premiers and leaders of National Indigenous Organizations at Pays de la Sagouine in Bouctouche on Wednesday, July 18.
All news media attending the meeting must be accredited.
Accreditation for the 2018 summer meeting of Canada's premiers, July 18-20 in Saint Andrews, will also be honoured for this meeting. A photo ID badge will be provided to all accredited media.
News media who wish to cover only the meeting of the premiers and National Indigenous Organization leaders must register by emailing [email protected] for accreditation. Media must register by July 16 and present photo ID upon arrival at the event.
Media are responsible for making their own hotel reservations for this meeting. A limited block of rooms is available at the Wingate Dieppe Hotel (69 du Marché St.). The room rate is $149 per night. Transportation for media from the hotel to Pays de la Sagouine, and from Pays de la Sagouine to Saint Andrews, will be provided. A light lunch will also be served.
Schedule of events is as follows:
- 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. – media registration at the Wingate Dieppe Hotel.
- 8 a.m. – departure by bus to Pays de la Sagouine.
- 9:30 a.m. to noon – meeting of premiers and leaders of National Indigenous Organizations.
- 9:35 a.m. – photo opportunity for the news media.
- 12:15 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. – media scrum
Meetings between the premiers and leaders of National Indigenous Organizations provide an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to Canada's indigenous populations.
