Media Advisory - Preparing for Legalization: The Conference Board of Canada's Marijuana @ Work Conference
TORONTO, Feb. 6, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada will become the first G7 country to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, bringing several economic, regulatory, social and health challenges for Canadian workplaces. Are HR policies and procedures up to date? Should organizations be testing employees? What will the impact be on organizational culture?
The Conference Board of Canada's Marijuana @ Work conference will bring together industry leaders and experts to discuss how marijuana legalization will impact employers across the country. "Colorado's Marijuana Czar" Andrew Freedman, who led the process that saw Colorado become the first jurisdiction in the world to regulate recreational marijuana, will provide lessons-learned on the consequences for organizations and what they could mean for Canadian workplaces.
