Media advisory - Press conference before Cardinal Jean-Claude Turcotte's departure for Rome

MONTREAL, Feb. 25, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Archbishop of Montreal, Most Rev. Christian Lépine, together with Archbishop Emeritus Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte will meet with the media before the Cardinal departs for Rome to participate in the farewell celebration for Pope Benedict XVI on Feb. 28 and in the upcoming Conclave.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, February 26 at 10 a.m. at 2000 Sherbrooke St. West.

Objectives:

1. To enable Archbishop Christian Lépine to offer the prayers and support of the Church of Montreal to Cardinal Turcotte as he leaves to fulfil the important mission to which he has been called.
2. To give the media an opportunity to interview Cardinal Turcotte before his imminent departure for Rome. Please note that Cardinal Turcotte will not grant any additional interviews until the end of the Conclave.
