BRAMPTON, ON, July 1, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Media outlets are invited to meet CSN representatives who will speak out on Wednesday, July 2nd at 11AM to denounce Loblaw's refusal to negotiate with the employees of three groceries in Rouyn-Noranda and Témiscaming, Quebec.
These representatives will speak upon the arrival of fifteen striking and locked-out Loblaw employees who, starting on July 14th, have braved the weather and walked the 650 kilometres between Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, and Loblaw headquarters in Brampton, Ontario.
Speaking at the event will be:
- Serge Fournier, President of the Fédération du commerce (FC–CSN);
- Donald Rheault, President of the Conseil central de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue Nord-du-Québec; and
- Cathy Presseault, President of the Syndicat des travailleuses et des travailleurs Provigo Témiscaming-CSN.
