In May 2013, the Company announced that it would converting its waste and recycling collection vehicles from diesel engines to compressed natural gas (CNG) powered vehicles, which operate more efficiently and with fewer emissions. In addition to emitting fewer greenhouse gasses and pollutants, these vehicles are quieter for residents and customers in service areas. |

Since our announcement last year, the Company has expanded its CNG fleet from servicing Surrey to Coquitlam which makes Progressive Waste the largest natural powered waste collection fleet in British Columbia and Canada. |
