INTERIOR DESIGNER KIMBERELY SELDON
~ Free Osteoporosis Public Educational Seminars in Toronto and Mississauga ~
TORONTO, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - For a person with osteoporosis, a fall can have dire consequences. Believe it or not, the home can be a hazardous place for falls. Falls may lead to fractures, which for someone with osteoporosis, may lead to a loss of mobility, loss of independence or even death. The good news is that osteoporosis can be treated and falls can be prevented.
Internationally renowned interior designer Kimberley Seldon witnessed her mother's suffering as a result of osteoporosis and saw firsthand what a devastating impact this disease can have on a person's life. Kimberley is available to speak to media about simple design changes that can be made at home to prevent falls, while still maintaining a beautiful house.
Dr. Aliya Khan, Professor of Clinical Medicine, Divisions Endocrinology and Geriatrics at McMaster University, is available to speak to about osteoporosis and the serious impact that a fall can have on someone with the disease.
