Media Advisory - Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth Outlines Recommendations to Protect all Vulnerable Children and Youth under Bill 8

TORONTO, Nov. 25, 2014 /CNW/ - Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth Irwin Elman will present recommendations on Bill 8, Public Sector and MPP Accountability and Transparency Act, 2014, to strengthen protection for all vulnerable children and youth under the Provincial Advocate's mandate.

The Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth serves as an independent voice for children and youth who are seeking or receiving services from the children's services sector, including special needs; youth justice; child welfare; mental health and treatment centers; First Nations children and youth; developmental service; and provincial and demonstration residential schools for the deaf, blind, deaf-blind and severely learning disabled.
