Media Advisory - Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth Urges Government and Legislative Committee to "do the right thing" for all vulnerable children and youth Français
TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth Irwin Elman will comment on his November 27th meeting with the Minister of Children and Youth Services' Office to address his recommendations on Bill 8, Public Sector and MPP Accountability and Transparency Act, 2014. Earlier this week, the Provincial Advocate presented recommendations to strengthen protection for all vulnerable children and youth under the Provincial Advocate's mandate.
The Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth serves as an independent voice for children and youth who are seeking or receiving services from the children's services sector, including special needs; youth justice; child welfare; mental health and treatment centers; First Nations children and youth; developmental service; and provincial and demonstration residential schools for the deaf, blind, deaf-blind and severely learning disabled.
