QUÉBEC, April 28, 2015 /CNW/ - Members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada attending the union's National Convention will rally in Quebec City to defend collective bargaining rights and oppose the federal Conservative government's unilateral action against sick leave benefits.
On Monday, Convention delegates unanimously adopted an emergency resolution to denounce the government's threat to collective bargaining rights in the federal budget. The resolution authorizes the union to mount a $5 million strategic campaign to defend its members' rights.
"We will not stand on the sidelines while this government works to dismantle our public services and our collective agreements," said Robyn Benson, National President of PSAC.
