OTTAWA, Feb. 29, 2012 /CNW/ - The federal government is promising to make reckless cuts to public services Canadians rely on.
The Conservative austerity plan will have a devastating impact on families and communities across Canada.
These cuts will hurt, not help, our economy. They could lead to the loss of up to 100,000 public and private sector jobs.
It's absurd to force us to choose between a strong economy and strong public services. Canadians need both!
That's why thousands of workers across the country will be standing together to demand better.
On March 1st, members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada will stand outside their office or at other locations to demonstrate support to all Canadians who depend on public services.
WHAT: | National Day of Action to support public services |
WHEN: | Thursday, March 1st, 12:00 -1:00 pm |
WHERE: | In Ottawa at the corner of Bank & Laurier. Outside federal workplaces all across Canada. |
