THUNDER BAY, ON, Oct. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - Striking public health nurses in Thunder Bay will be joined on the picket lines today by Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) President Linda Silas.
The 58 members of the Ontario Nurses' Association were forced to strike on October 16. As they enter the third week of the strike, they note that the employer has yet to accept an invitation to return to the bargaining table.
Silas will join the public health nurses from noon to 5 pm on October 29 to show her support for their quest for a respectful and fair contract.
