Media advisory - Public opening for 136th Imperial Council Session
TORONTO, July 4 /CNW/ - The public opening ceremony for the 136th Imperial Council Session kicks off a weeklong meeting of Shriners International, the fraternity that founded and continues to support Shriners Hospital for Children. The event celebrates the rich and magnificent tradition of Masonry and features live music as well as the colourful pageantry of the Shriners fraternity.
Dignitaries from several Masonic organizations will be introduced including Grand Masters from throughout the world, several Sovereign Grand Commanders of the Scottish Rite, the Grand Master of the Grand Encampment Knights Templar, and the Grand Master of DeMolay International.
The Imperial Potentate of Shriners International, Jack H. Jones, President and CEO of Toronto Tourism, David Whitaker and Bryan W. Lawson, Potentate of Rameses Shriners, the host Temple, the Imperial Council Session, and Raymond S. J. Daniels, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Canada and the Province of Ontario will address the audience. To demonstrate the international reach of the Shriners organization, a flag will be displayed for each country where Shriners temples are located and their national anthems will be played.
