Media Advisory - PVLA Court Challenge to Site C Dam Starts Monday

VANCOUVER, April 17, 2015 /CNW/ - The hearing of  the PVLA petition asking the BC Supreme Court to quash the provincial Environmental Assessment Certificate for the Site C Dam is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am on Monday, April 20th at the Vancouver Law Courts located at 800 Smithe St. You can attend and listen to the judicial review.

PVLA President Ken Boon and PVLA Legal Counsel Maegen Giltrow will be available for media interviews at the courthouse on Monday at 9:00 am and at the conclusion of each day of the judicial review hearing.

Ken Boon noted "When the Site C Joint Review Panel raises major concerns about the economics of Site C and recommends further expert and independent review of the cost, need and alternatives to Site C, the BC government has a legal obligation to carefully openly and thoroughly consider them, not cavalierly disregard the JRP economic recommendations in its rush to approve Site C. The BC government is not above the law."
