MEDIA ADVISORY - Raising capital focus of CICA's Corporate Finance
Qualification conference
TORONTO, Nov. 12 /CNW/ - The wide range of challenges companies face when raising capital will be addressed next week at a conference being hosted by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) through its Corporate Finance Qualification (CF Qualification).
The one-day conference titled "Raising Capital in Today's Volatile Market" takes place Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The gathering will feature a unique case-study approach within a conference setting to help facilitate in-depth discussion.
The CF Qualification was developed in partnership with the CICA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The CF Qualification, which is highly regarded and tailored exclusively to the field of corporate finance, has been achieved by more than 1,000 corporate finance professionals in over 50 countries around the world.
Moderated panels will examine challenges faced when raising different forms of capital in various stages of corporate growth. The topics being addressed include:
- Venture capital
- Debt
- The public market
- Board considerations
