OTTAWA, Nov. 15, 2018 /CNW/ - Campaign 2000 will release its annual national Report Card on Child and Family Poverty on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. The media release, full report and infographics will be available at www.campaign2000.ca as of 12:01 AM.
The 2018 report card is the first issued since the release of Canada's first Poverty Reduction Strategy. It marks 29 years since the unanimous House of Commons resolutions to end child poverty in Canada by the year 2000 and 9 years since the commitment to issue an anti-poverty plan for all.
The national report card is released in coordination with several provincial report cards from our partners in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
The national report card will be available in English and French. Spokespeople will be available for comment in both official languages through the contacts listed below.
