Media Advisory - Release of Report from the Financial Accountability Officer

TORONTO, Nov. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - On November 4, 2015, Ontario's Financial Accountability Officer, Stephen LeClair, will release "An Assessment of Ontario's Medium-term Economic and Fiscal Outlook", his first review of the current economic outlook and the state of the provincial government's finances.

Mr. LeClair will discuss the report at a 10:00 a.m. news conference in the Media Studio at Queen's Park.

In advance of the news conference, there will be a background briefing for accredited media at 9:00 in Room 228 of the Legislature (Accreditation is available through Gerald Christopher, Room 387A, 416-325-7922).

At the media briefing, senior officials from the Financial Accountability Office will provide a review of the report and answer questions on a not-for-attribution basis.

Embargoed copies of the report will be available for the media at the start of the briefing. The embargo will end when the Financial Accountability Officer begins his news conference.

The Report will also be posted on the Financial Accountability Office's website, http://fao-on.org at the beginning of the news conference.

The Financial Accountability Office provides independent analysis to the Legislative Assembly on the state of the province's finances, trends in the provincial economy and other important matters.
