A Healthy Dose of Green: A prescription for a healthy population

TORONTO, Feb. 1, 2012 /CNW/ - Join Trees Ontario, the Ontario Forestry Association, and approximately 300 landowners, educators, forestry professionals and government as we explore the importance of healthy forests for healthy people.

Trees Ontario will release a Paper, entitled A Healthy Dose of Green, which highlights the direct links between the natural environment - trees and forests, and human health - from the physical, physiological, and rehabilitation benefits of the environment, to the physical activities they promote, and the health-related products derived from natural resources. The paper aims to initiate dialogue between the health sector, forestry industry, academia and government to discuss and investigate the direct connection between ecosystem health and human health.
