Media Advisory - Remembrance Day ceremony at Valcartier Garrison

VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Nov. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Members of the media are invited to attend the traditional Remembrance Day parade at Valcartier Garrison.

    
    When: Nov 11 at 9:45 am (ceremony begins at 10:20 am).
    Where: In front of the cenotaph on Général T.L. Tremblay Street.
    

The ceremony will be attended by military personnel from 5 Area Support Group, 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group and other units from the garrison as well as veterans, civilians and VIPs.

The ceremony will include the march-past of troops, the national anthem, prayers, the Last Post, a moment of silence, Reveille and speeches. Wreaths and flowers will be laid by a representative of the Silver Cross Mother, 5 Area Support Group, the parade commander, Land Force Quebec Area Training Centre, a representative of members wounded in Afghanistan , the Canadian Legion Loretteville Branch, and Dollard-des-Ormeaux school.

Media representatives who wish to attend this ceremony are requested to notify the 5 ASG Public Affairs Officer at the number below. All attendees must report to the Valcartier Garrison main gate by 9:45 am . Late arrivals will be denied access.
