Media Advisory - Reminder - Day 2 - Amputee's Story Inspires Youngsters at War Amps Fredericton Seminar
FREDERICTON, July 11, 2015 /CNW/ - Today is the second day of The War Amps 2015 Atlantic Child Amputee (CHAMP) Seminar, which is taking place this weekend in Fredericton. CHAMP Graduate Naomi Tappin, a left leg amputee, will speak about embracing and overcoming the challenges of growing up as an amputee.

Running July 10 to 12, the Seminar will be a life-changing experience for Champs and their parents, covering everything from raising a child amputee, to dealing with teasing and staring, to seeing the latest developments in artificial limbs.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the CHAMP Program, which has provided generations of child amputees with financial assistance for artificial limbs, regional seminars and peer support.
Media are also welcome to attend the following sessions and interviews with the Champs can be arranged at any time.
