TORONTO, April 19, 2018 /CNW/ - Downsview Park is hosting a free Earth Day Festival on April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with interactive activities and fun for the whole family! Hundreds of people are expected.

WHAT: Earth Day Festival
Activities will include:
- Birds of Prey demonstrations (11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
- Seed ball making
- Garlic-mustard pesto making (12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
- Arts and crafts station (Using natural materials)
- Face painting (11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
- Campfire singalong (11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
- Family Nature Walk (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
- Invasive Species Walk (11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
- Litter pick-up
- Urban Farm Open House
- Pop-Up Garden Centre
- Plant Sale at Fresh City Farms
- Park and greenhouse tours
- Participating organizations/vendors: Fresh City Farms, Toronto Beekeepers Collective, Toronto Wildlife Centre and the Toronto Black Farmers and Growers
