MONCTON, May 18, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement and New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes will make an announcement regarding the province-wide scale up of a collaboration that has significantly reduced the inappropriate use of antipsychotic medication in New Brunswick nursing homes, improving quality of life for residents.
What: News conference announcing significant reductions in inappropriate antipsychotic medication use in New Brunswick nursing homes and the expansion of this collaboration to additional homes. Photo opportunity with nursing home residents participating in pet and recreation therapies – person-centred approaches that can replace inappropriately prescribed antipsychotics and provide better quality of life for residents with dementia.
