MEDIA ADVISORY - River Rock Casino Resort ready to host the sixth annual
British Columbia Poker Championships

November 19-28, 2010

RICHMOND, BC, Oct. 14 /CNW/ - River Rock Casino Resort is pleased to announce that from November 19^th - 28^th it will host the sixth annual British Columbia Poker Championships (BCPC). 

This year's BC Poker Championships has an estimated prize pool of over $2 million, 1400 seats, three events and ten days of exciting tournament play.

"Having BCPC take place at the River Rock Casino Resort is an honour as it brings together a group of local, talented, and brave poker players," said Howard Blank, Vice President of Communications, Entertainment and Responsible Gambling with the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation.

BCPC also has a history of attracting a number of professional poker players. In the previous years, talents such as Brad 'Yukon' Booth, Gavin Smith, Lacey Jones, Greg 'FBT' Mueller, Maria Ho, Liz Lieu, and Tiffany Michelle tried to take home the winning title. Nevertheless, in 2008, Canada's own Daniel Negreanu won the BCPC and took home $370,000.

Here is the list of this year's events:

• November 19^th - 21^st ►$550 No Limit Texas Hold'em
• November 22^nd - 23^rd  ►$1,100 No Limit Texas Hold'em
• November 25^th - 28^th ►Main Event $2,700 No Limit Texas Hold'em
