Media Advisory - Saskatoon rally against privatization
SASKATOON, June 27, 2017 /CNW/ - Unifor members in Saskatoon and their allies will add their voices to the growing opposition to the Sask Party cuts and privatization agenda at a rally on Wednesday.
"The Sask Party misled voters about their plans to privatize Crown corporations," said Joie Warnock, Unifor Western Regional Director. "Crown corporations belong to the people of Saskatchewan and Brad Wall has no mandate to sell off public assets."

Wednesday's action is part of a broader campaign called Stand Up For Your Crowns (www.myCrowns.ca). Among other sectors, Unifor represents thousands of Crown corporation workers at SaskTel, SaskEnergy, SaskPower, and SaskWater.
Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector, representing more than 310,000 workers. It was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions merged.
