Media advisory - SCC to host World Standards Day this Friday, highlighting energy efficiency

WHAT | As part of the 43rd global World Standards Day (WSD), members of the media are invited, along with attendees, to the Standards Council of Canada's (SCC's) WSD event. The theme of WSD 2012 is Less waste, better results—Standards increase efficiency. SCC's exciting half-day event program focuses on energy efficiency, in support of this theme. |
SCC will officially announce Canada's first and only program for the accreditation of bodies that seek to certify organizations to the international standard ISO 50001 - Energy Management Systems. SCC launched the program this week. | |
Each year in mid-October, SCC joins the international community in celebrating the importance of standards-related activities and pays tribute to the collaborative efforts of the thousands of individuals that give of their time and expertise to this important work. | |
