Media Advisory - Southern Ontario firefighters to receive industry-sponsored transportation emergency response training
OTTAWA, May 6, 2015 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend a training session for southern Ontario emergency responders on how to safely respond to a transportation incident involving flammable liquids.

Visuals: Media will have the opportunity to take photographs or video of the CCPX911 training tank car, CP's firefighting foam trailer, and other emergency response equipment. Spokespeople will be available for interviews on-site.
Sponsored by the Railway Association of Canada, the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers in partnership with CP, Southern Ontario Railway, Shell and NOVA Chemicals, this training session aims to inform emergency responders about the products being transported through their area, and to prepare them to respond to a potential rail incident involving flammable liquids. This is the first of many Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response (TRANSCAER®) training events to be held across Canada in 2015.
