Media Advisory - Status of Women Canada

OTTAWA, Sept. 24, 2013 /CNW/ - The Honourable Dr. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labor and Minister of Status of Women, will announce Government of Canada support for a new project to reduce and prevent violence against women and girls committed in the name of so-called "honour". She will be accompanied by Roxanne James, Member of Parliament for Scarborough Centre and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.

Minister Leitch and other event participants will be available for a photo op and to answer media questions following the press conference.
