Canadian Heritage would like to inform the public of the street closures in effect in Ottawa and Gatineau during the 40th edition of Winterlude, which is taking place from February 2 to 19, 2018.
GATINEAU, Feb. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Canadian Heritage would like to inform the public of street closures in effect for Ottawa and Gatineau during the 40th edition of Winterlude, which is taking place from February 2 to 19, 2018.
Only vehicles displaying a circulation access pass, residents with proof of residence and emergency vehicles will be granted access to closed streets.
Please note that all details are subject to change. All times are local.
The details are as follows:
Ottawa
Laurier Avenue West between Nicholas and Elgin Streets, the on-ramp from Queen Elizabeth Drive to Laurier Avenue West, and Queen Elizabeth Drive from Confederation Park to Preston Street will be closed to traffic at the following times:
- Saturdays, February 3, 10 and 17, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Sundays, February 4, 11 and 18, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Monday, February 19, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The westbound lanes of the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway will be closed to traffic at the following times:
- Sunday, February 18, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Gatineau
Laurier Street northbound, from Sacré-Cœur Boulevard to Dussault Street, Dussault Street, from Notre-Dame-de-l'Île Street to Laurier Street, and Marston Street, from Laurier Street to Notre-Dame-de-l'Île Street, will be closed to traffic at the following times:
- Mondays, February 5 and 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Thursdays, February 8 and 15, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Fridays, February 2, 9, 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Laurier Street northbound, from Sacré-Cœur Boulevard to Dussault Street, Dussault Street, from Notre-Dame-de-l'Île Street to Laurier Street, Marston Street, from Laurier Street to Notre-Dame-de-l'Île Street, and Notre-Dame-de-l'Île Street to Marston Street will be closed to traffic at the following times:
- Saturdays, February 3, 10 and 17, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sundays, February 4, 11 and 18, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Monday, February 19, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
