Media advisory - Students available to comment on 2015 Throne Speech
WINNIPEG, Nov. 16 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Students will be available to comment on the 2015 provincial throne speech on Monday, November 16th. This year, students in Manitoba have presented strategies for the government to increase accessibility of our colleges and universities through reliable and adequate funding for institutions, an increase of non-repayable grants for all students, addressing skyrocketing tuition and textbook costs, and building safer spaces and a positive consent culture on our campuses. Students have also worked on our campuses and with government to advocate for the adoption of the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
