Media Advisory - Support Grows for Toronto Plaza Hotel Boycott
TORONTO, Aug. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - Demonstrators in animal costumes will rally outside the Toronto Plaza Hotel today to support striking workers and a growing boycott of the hotel.
The Ontario Federation of Labour is joining the boycott, launched after the Toronto Plaza Hotel manager called his workers "animals" and demanded huge wage and benefit cuts rather than negotiate a fair contract settlement.

Toronto Plaza Hotel workers are members of the United Steelworkers (USW). Predominantly visible minority women, many of whom have worked for the hotel for over 20 years, the workers are in the 12th week of their strike.
