Media Advisory - Tell Cancer It Barked Up the Wrong Tree!
Join us (and our canine friends) at an event to fight human cancer!
TORONTO, June 29 /CNW/ - Bark For Life is a fun walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society. Bark For Life also aims to promote healthy living, including physical activity through dog-walking, to help reduce the risk of cancer. Through Bark For Life, the Society offers the opportunity for others to share cancer survivor and caregiver stories, since dogs can be considered a type of caregiver as they provide loving supportive companionship to their owners facing cancer diagnosis and treatment. Brad Pattison, host of 'At the End of My Leash' on the Slice network and best-selling author of 'Brad Pattison Unleashed' has picked a fight with cancer as Honorary Chair of the Canadian Cancer Society's 2010 Bark For Life event and will be in attendance at this event.
This inaugural Bark For Life event is also proud to be an official Toronto Pride affiliate event.
