Media Advisory - Terasen Gas Volunteers Contribute To Aboriginal Culture At
Stanley Park
SURREY, BC, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - As part of Terasen Gas' annual Community Giving Day, approximately 100 Terasen Gas employees and their families will help the Aboriginal Tourism Association of British Columbia (AtBC) build an elder's shelter and construct landscape art at the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park. The shelter will be in Stanley Park year-round and will also be available for use by the broader community in the future for events.
The project supports employees' commitment to give back to the communities where they live and work. The project also includes a $30,000 company donation. The Klahowya Village in Stanley Park is run by the Aboriginal Tourism Association of British Columbia and is a showcase of Aboriginal arts and culture that has drawn visitors from around the world.
Terasen Gas is working hard to deliver a sustainable future for British Columbians, both in developing and implementing integrated energy solutions and in giving back to the communities in which it operates.
