GATINEAU, QC, Oct. 23, 2017 /CNW/ - Purpose of the oral hearing
The purpose of the hearing is to hear oral arguments from counsel for the Corporation of the District of West Vancouver (West Vancouver) and Canadian National Railway Company (CN) on West Vancouver's application.
West Vancouver requests an order from the CTA to authorize the continued use of the Centennial Seawalk road crossing on the CN right of way in West Vancouver; provide no compensation to CN for such use on the basis that there is no real damage or appreciable injury to the railway company or its property; authorize West Vancouver to access the riprap areas and other shore protection works which protect the Seawalk; and impose no terms with respect to liability, indemnity and insurance.
