MONTRÉAL, June 20, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - 9:30 a.m. at the Salon d'exposition du congrès international EVS29 held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The City of Saint-Jérôme has announced that it will offer free electric shuttle services, an announcement made in the presence of Mayor Stéphane Maher and Marc Bédard, president of Lion Bus (Lion Bus Booth - 1523). "Our city is recognized as a pioneer and champion of electric vehicles in Canada, and we intend to continue innovating in the electrification of transportation. An electric bus was the logical choice to ensure shuttle services for the long term," said Mayor Maher. "For Lion Bus—the only North American manufacturer of 100% electric Type C school buses (the eLion)—this represents a new application for passenger transport," explained Mr. Bédard.
