Media Advisory - The Conference Board of Canada hosts Atlantic Business Outlook tour
HALIFAX, May 14, 2018 /CNW/ - Following a weak performance in 2017, Nova Scotia's economy is set to improve this year. Meanwhile, in New Brunswick, there is reason for economic optimism, despite an aging population taking a toll on the province's labour markets.
The Conference Board of Canada's Atlantic Business Outlook tour will take place in Halifax on May 16 and in Fredericton on May 17. The Board's Chief Economist, Craig Alexander and Director of Provincial Forecast Marie-Christine Bernard will discuss the issues underpinning the economies of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, from a global, national, provincial and local perspective.
In addition, the Conference Board's Paul Preston, Director, Science, Technology and Innovation Policy, will lead a discussion on the provinces' innovation potential and present findings from the latest How Canada Performs: Innovation report card.
