Media Advisory - The Conference Board of Canada to Host Workplace Wellness and Mental Health Conference
OTTAWA, May 29, 2015 /CNW/ - A recent Conference Board of Canada profile of mental health in Canada reveals that prevalence rates of mental health disorders are more than 60 per cent higher among working Canadians than the general population and mental health issues are among the most common causes of absences in the workplace.
The Conference Board of Canada's Workplace Wellness and Mental Health conference will bring together HR and wellness leaders to explore the role, effectiveness, and potential impact of employer-sponsored mental health benefits and programs.
At the event, the Conference Board will publicly release a new report that assess the extent to which employers are leveraging the resources and tools.
