Media advisory - The Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario to host the 2010
REACH REGATTA

TORONTO, Aug. 20 /CNW/ - This weekend, August 21 and 22, disabled sailors from across Ontario and Quebec will gather to compete in the 2010 REACH REGATTA.  The event is presented by the Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario (DSAO) and hosted by the Queen's Quay Disabled Sailing Program (QQDSP). Competitors will be vying for the Harbour Masters Cup.

Participants, volunteers and organizers will be available to speak with the media throughout the weekend.  The schedule for the event is included with this advisory. The awards ceremony will be taking place on Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m.

The QQDSP is DSAO's flagship program. Owned and operated exclusively by the DSAO, QQDSP was created in 1999 as a result of the 1999 Mobility Cup, hosted by DSAO and the National Yacht Club, as a legacy to the Toronto community.

8:30am	Staff arrival
8:30am to 9:00am	Martin 16`s and Liberties rigged, Keelboat and Coach boat prepped
9:00am	Gold and Liberty fleet racers & Volunteers arrive
9:00am to 9:15am	Skippers Meeting, boats assigned (Stu and Racing Committee Member)
9:15am to 9:45am	Staff load racers into boats; Stu and Racing Committee Member on water setting course
10:00am to 12:30pm	Gold and Liberty fleet races
12:30pm	Silver fleet racers & Volunteers arrive
12:30pm to 1:00pm	Gold and Liberty fleet racers are unloaded (Staff on docks); Silver fleet skippers meeting, boats assigned (Stu and Racing Committee Member)
1:00pm to 1:30pm	Staff load racers into Boats; Stu and Racing Committee Member on water setting course
1:30pm to 4:00pm	Silver and 2.4m fleet (demo) races
