OTTAWA, June 20, 2017 /CNW/ - On the occasion of National Aboriginal Day, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will attend the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN)'s Aboriginal Day Live evening concert on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Major's Hill Park, in Ottawa. During the event, the Governor General will deliver remarks at 8:10 p.m.
"I am pleased to be attending this year's Aboriginal Day Live concert," the Governor General said. "Indigenous peoples are reinventing and reshaping Canada in profound and wonderful ways. Today's celebration is the latest vivid demonstration of that fact."

This year's 11th edition of the free daytime program of activities and evening concert will take place in eight cities across the country.
