MONTREAL, March 18, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The media are cordially invited to the kick-off of The Great Food Drive for Children on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 8 am, at Montreal's Central Station. Ms. Ève-Marie Lortie, TV show host and spokesperson for The Great Food Drive... will be present from 8 AM to 9:30 AM to collect monetary donations and non-perishable food items with the staff of the three beneficiary food banks of the campaign (Moisson Montréal, Moisson Rive-Sud and the Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval), as well as with volunteers from Standard Life, presenting partner of the Great Food Drive for Children.

About The Great Food Drive for Children
Initiated in 2012 by Moisson Montréal, The Great Food Drive for Children is a campaign to raise funds and collect foodstuffs for babies and toddlers to better meet the basic needs of more than 21,000 young children (0-5 years) living in poverty in the Greater Montreal area. Uniting the efforts of Moisson Montreal, Moisson Rive-Sud and of the Centre de bénévolat et moisson Laval, The Great Food Drive for Children aims at supplying the three beneficiary organizations with sufficient baby and toddler products in order to better support families and children in need living in their respective regions.
